Welcome to a little about me!
I have spent 20 years of my life as an engineer. I spent 4 years in the Navy and the next 16 as a Biomedical Engineer. I have done a little of everything including designing life-saving devices, being in the room helping doctors to implant and test the devices, following patients, and being involved in the research and approval of new devices in the United States. What I loved most about my job was teaching medical professionals and I was always learning. I wanted to bring my passion of learning and teaching to your children and here I am.
This is my third year in the Northshore School District and I am so excited to be here. My 2 sons are both in the district and we have benefitted greatly from the education excellence in this area. I am excited to be a part of that excellence as not only a parent of Northshore students, but also as a teacher.
My teaching philosophy is that all students can be successful with hard work and that I want all of my students to become lifelong learners. Becoming lifelong learners is important as it creates students who know how to contribute positively to the world in creative and meaningful ways.
In my free time I like to be outdoors running, working in the garden, hiking and watching my kids in their various sports activities.
Feel free to contact me as I hope to provide an open door to not only students, but to parents.
