Counseling, College and Career "C3"

WE EARNED "RAMP" CERTIFICATION!!

RAMP stands for Recognized ASCA (American School Counseling Association) Model Program. Since we opened, we have been working to create a program that reaches all students through things like our Wellness Workshops, small groups, and individual advising. Once we felt we were in the position to do so, NCHS counselors spent a year gathering data and documenting all aspects of our counseling program and completed the required tasks in order to apply for RAMP. We are proud to be the only high school in Washington to receive this honor.

The C3 Center provides different types of support for students during their high school years as well as helping students plan for life after high school.

Here are some of the things that you might seek your counselor's help with:

  • Personal issues
  • Social issues
  • Attendance issues
  • Credit retrieval options
  • Outside resources
  • Substance abuse issues
  • Study strategies
  • Course selection questions
  • Programs that might be a good fit for you
  • SAT/ACT questions
  • Graduation requirements
  • College and career guidance

C3 Mission:

The North Creek High School Counseling Department works in conjunction with stakeholders to remove barriers by cultivating equity and access for all students through implementation of a comprehensive counseling program that encompasses all aspects of college and career readiness, academic success, and social emotional development. Students are encouraged to become productive members of society who accept responsibility for their actions and demonstrate reverence for others. In our counseling program we strive to create a safe, personalized, and supportive environment that fosters tolerance and respect for each student who enters our school community.

C3 Vision:

In collaboration with Northshore School district, North Creek High School (NCHS) and other stakeholders, the NCHS counseling program seeks to prepare all students to graduate and to be stewards of innovation, collaborative problem solvers, creative thinkers, caring and compassionate citizens, environmental champions, servant leaders and social justice activists in service toward making a positive impact on our local and global community for years to come, based on the strong belief in the capacity of every student to experience continuous growth in academic subject areas and social-emotional success.
