Satellite and WANIC Course Information

NEW: Satellite/WANIC Info Session is on Wednesday, March 13th during Jag Time in the Aux Gym

Are you interested in getting hands on experience for potential careers? Maybe even get a certification that could lead directly to employment? Maybe a Satellite or WANIC class is for you!! The Northshore School District Career and College Readiness program is taking bold steps to prepare all students to be career and college ready and helping our nation meet the very real and immediate challenges of economic development, student achievement, and global competitiveness.

Satellite: Career and College Readiness courses offered ONLY at NCHS/BHS/WHS/IHS. Limited transportation may be provided for these courses.

WANIC: Career and College Readiness courses offered to students in the school districts in Northeast King County (including NSD.) There is no transportation provided for these courses.

Satellite Course Application Process (Northshore School District Courses Only)

Step 1: Complete the PROGRAM INTEREST FORM

Students who complete the Program Interest Form will receive a Satellite Application via email. Watch for the application in your NSD student email account. If any information is entered incorrectly, the approval process will be delayed.

Step 2: Complete the SATELLITE APPLICATION

Once a student completes the student section of the application, it will automatically be sent via email to their parent for approval. Following the parent e-signature, the application will automatically be sent via email to the counseling department at North Creek High School for review. The Satellite Application Date is March 14, 2025.

Please complete the Program Interest Form several days prior to the March 14th application deadline to allow enough time to receive, complete and submit the SATELLITE APPLICATION.

When requesting your NCHS courses for next year in StudentVUE, please choose a full schedule of courses that DOES NOT include Satellite courses (just in case you don’t get accepted into the Satellite course). If you apply for and are accepted into the Satellite course, we will contact you to see which other courses you’d like to drop.

You will be notified late in the Spring, via email, if you are accepted into the Satellite Program.
